Why you are lucky to have me as your teacher letter.

Dear 2011 Room 2 Students

I am writing you this letter to inform you all of how lucky you are to have me as your teacher this year.

First of all, I love art and physical education and I can’t wait to rub off my enthusiasm for theses subjects, onto you all.   I hope to do lots of art with you as well as teach you a lot of sporting skills and games.  I also enjoy integrating computers in the classroom and look forward to teaching you all new computer skills.  We will have a class blog where you will record your learning, (Yr 6 students will continue using their individual blog from last year).  You will learn lots of computer skills and will learn how to record your learning in lots of creative ways.

Secondly, I like Room 2 to be a place where learning is fun and exciting.  This means ensuring I provide you all with exciting learning experiences that are challenging and fun.   This includes lots of creative activities and cooperative activities.

Thirdly, I want to promote creativity in you all and ensure that you all become the best you can be.  Sometimes I will ask you to rework your work to improve it, this is because I want to challenge you all and want to ensure you all push yourselves to strive for personal success.  I want to help you all develop self belief and confidence so that you all become responsible for your own learning and become inspired about learning.

I am a considerate and fair teacher who will always make the time to listen to you.   I am a strict teacher because I always ensure each and every student has the right to learn and is not being distracted from learning by others.  I do this by ensuring I, as well as all my students, follow the St James’ behaviour management system and are following all  SUPER achiever values. 

I am really excited about our year of learning and I know it will be a successful year full of new learning and discoveries.  You should feel very lucky to have me as your teacher!  You all will be very surprised and proud at what you will achieve this year.
